Women Wrestling: Medium-light Skin Tone, Light Skin Tone Emoji

The Women Wrestling: Medium-light Skin Tone, Light Skin Tone emoji shows two women locked in a wrestling grapple, one rendered with a medium-light skin tone and the other with a light skin tone. It captures the intensity of combat sports, showing athletic effort, competition, and physical strength between two female wrestlers. This emoji is part of the wider ZWJ sequence family that allows for customizable skin tone combinations, letting users represent specific pairings rather than a generic default.

As a brand-new addition arriving with Unicode 17.0, this emoji's design is still being finalized across platforms. Apple has confirmed support beginning with iOS 26.4 and macOS 26.4, showing its typical polished, dimensional art style for wrestling poses. Google, Microsoft, and Samsung have not yet released their versions, so expect stylistic differences in body proportions, clothing, and shading once each vendor rolls out support.

Once broadly supported, this emoji is likely to appear on Twitter/X and Instagram in posts celebrating women's wrestling, MMA, or grappling achievements. On TikTok, it may accompany training clips or highlight reels from female athletes. WhatsApp and Discord users could use it in sports fan chats or gaming communities focused on wrestling-themed content, especially where representing specific skin tone pairings matters for personalized messaging.

Technically, this emoji is built from the codepoint sequence U+1F469 U+1F3FC U+200D U+1FAEF U+200D U+1F469 U+1F3FB, combining the woman emoji, a medium-light skin tone modifier, the wrestling ZWJ component, another woman emoji, and a light skin tone modifier. It's closely related to other skin tone combinations in the same wrestling series, as well as the gender-neutral and men's wrestling variants introduced in the same Unicode release.

Use this emoji when discussing women's wrestling matches, combat sports achievements, or when you want an inclusive, skin-tone-accurate representation of two female athletes competing. It's best avoided in casual conversations about interpersonal conflict, since its athletic sports meaning could be misread.
