The People Wrestling: Medium-light Skin Tone, Dark Skin Tone emoji shows two figures grappling in a wrestling hold, expressing themes of competition, sport, and physical contest. It pairs a person with medium-light skin tone against a person with dark skin tone, allowing for a more precise and inclusive depiction of two individuals engaged in athletic combat or playful struggle.
Debuting in Unicode 17.0, this emoji is among the freshest releases in the standard and awaits full cross-platform rollout. Apple has confirmed support beginning with iOS 26.4 and macOS 26.4, but Google, Microsoft, and Samsung have not yet finalized their implementation timelines, so display consistency will vary by device for now.
Once adoption spreads, expect to see this emoji used in wrestling and sports commentary on Twitter/X, athletic lifestyle posts on Instagram, competitive clips on TikTok, and informal exchanges about sparring or rivalry among friends on WhatsApp and gaming communities on Discord.
