The Men Wrestling: Medium Skin Tone, Light Skin Tone emoji depicts two male figures locked in a grappling hold, representing the sport of wrestling and physical competition between two people. The design shows one figure with a medium skin tone and the other with a light skin tone, allowing for more personalized and realistic representation when depicting two specific individuals engaged in a wrestling match or playful combat. This emoji builds on the classic wrestling design by introducing distinct skin tone customization for each figure separately.
Since this is a newly introduced ZWJ sequence emoji under Unicode 17.0, platform rendering is still rolling out. Apple has confirmed support starting with iOS 26.4+ and macOS 26.4+, showing its signature bold, athletic character design. Google, Microsoft, and Samsung have not yet finalized their versions, meaning appearance may vary significantly once these vendors release their own interpretations of the dual-tone wrestling figures.
On social platforms like Twitter/X, Instagram, TikTok, WhatsApp, and Discord, this emoji is expected to see use in posts about combat sports, athletic achievements, and playful rivalry between friends. Once wider platform support rolls out, users will likely use it to represent wrestling matches, tag training partners, or add humor to captions about competitive banter, especially when a mixed skin tone combination reflects real-life friendships or teammates.
Technically, this emoji combines U+1F468 U+1F3FD U+200D U+1FAEF U+200D U+1F468 U+1F3FB into a single ZWJ sequence, pairing the "Man" emoji with medium and light skin tone modifiers plus the wrestling glyph. It belongs to a wider family of wrestling emoji combinations covering every skin tone pairing, and it's closely related to the standard gender-neutral "People Wrestling" emoji as well as other combat-sport emojis like boxing gloves.
Use this emoji when you want to represent two specific people wrestling or engaging in friendly physical competition, especially in fitness, sports, or gaming contexts. Avoid it in formal communication or when a generic wrestling icon would suffice, since the specific skin tone pairing implies intentional representation. Once supported, you can easily copy and paste this emoji directly from CopyThatEmoji.com for use across your favorite apps.
