The Men Wrestling: Medium-light Skin Tone, Dark Skin Tone emoji features two men in a wrestling grip, each rendered with a different skin tone to offer a more diverse and specific representation of the sport. This ZWJ sequence conveys themes of athletic competition, grappling, and combat sport while letting users portray two individuals with medium-light and dark skin tones respectively.
Introduced under Unicode 17.0, this emoji is only beginning its rollout across platforms, with Apple confirmed to support it in iOS 26.4 and macOS 26.4. Google, Microsoft, and Samsung have not yet finalized their implementations, so the visual design and color rendering may differ once each platform issues its own version.
As adoption grows, expect this emoji to appear on Twitter/X, Instagram, TikTok, WhatsApp, and Discord in posts about wrestling events, competitive sports culture, gym-related jokes, and inclusive representation of friends or family members with contrasting skin tones engaging in playful rivalry.
The emoji is built from the codepoints U+1F468 U+1F3FC ZWJ U+1FAEF ZWJ U+1F468 U+1F3FF, combining a man with medium-light skin tone, the wrestling glyph, and a second man with dark skin tone joined via zero-width joiners. It is part of the broader wrestling emoji series covering all skin tone combinations, closely related to other paired combat sport emojis.
This emoji is ideal for sports discussions, playful competitive exchanges, or accurately representing two people of different skin tones in a wrestling scenario, though it should be avoided in contexts suggesting genuine hostility. You can copy and paste this emoji easily from CopyThatEmoji.com.
