The Men Wrestling: Medium-dark Skin Tone, Medium Skin Tone emoji shows two male figures gripping each other in a wrestling stance, illustrating the intensity of a grappling match. It stands for wrestling, combat sports, and physical competition, while also serving as a metaphor for rivalry, tension, or a determined struggle between two people. This emoji suits both literal sports references and figurative uses where two sides are locked in an energetic contest.
Built as a ZWJ sequence pairing the wrestling gesture with two skin tone modifiers, its visual design varies by platform. Apple has confirmed support arriving with iOS 26.4 and macOS 26.4, delivering its characteristic polished, three-dimensional emoji art style. Google, Microsoft, and Samsung have not yet announced release plans, so devices running those systems may show fallback icons or split emoji until full support is implemented across their keyboards.
Once adoption spreads, this emoji is likely to appear on Twitter/X and Discord in wrestling fan communities, sports banter, and playful callouts between friends. Instagram and TikTok users may use it in captions for wrestling clips, training montages, or comedic posts about competitive dynamics. On WhatsApp, it can add a fun visual touch to conversations about disagreements, challenges, or friendly one-on-one showdowns between two specific people.
Technically, the emoji is formed from U+1F468 U+1F3FE U+200D U+1FAEF U+200D U+1F468 U+1F3FD, combining two "man" emoji, the wrestling symbol, and distinct skin tone selectors. It debuted in Unicode and Emoji Version 17.0, joining a broader family of wrestling emoji that spans multiple gender and skin tone combinations, reflecting ongoing efforts to expand emoji diversity and personalization.
Reach for this emoji when discussing sports, competitive rivalry, or lighthearted conflict, but skip it in formal or unrelated contexts where it could feel out of place. Given that platform support is still developing, double-check its rendering before using it in important visuals. You can always find and copy and paste this emoji quickly from CopyThatEmoji.com.
