The Men Wrestling: Medium-dark Skin Tone, Dark Skin Tone emoji portrays two men engaged in a wrestling grip, embodying the physicality and focus of a live match. It represents wrestling, combat sports, and athletic competition, while also functioning as a symbol of rivalry, struggle, or playful conflict between two individuals. Its dynamic pose makes it suitable for both literal sports contexts and figurative expressions of tension or head-to-head competition.
As a ZWJ sequence merging the wrestling gesture with two skin tone modifiers, its appearance is tied to platform rollout schedules. Apple has confirmed support starting with iOS 26.4 and macOS 26.4, rendering the emoji in its signature detailed, glossy style. Google, Microsoft, and Samsung have yet to confirm timelines, meaning users on those platforms might see fallback icons or unmerged emoji sequences until broader compatibility is achieved.
Once widely supported, this emoji is expected to thrive on Twitter/X and Discord within wrestling fan discussions, sports memes, and playful callouts between users. Instagram and TikTok creators may use it to caption wrestling highlights, gym progress posts, or humorous content about rivalries. In WhatsApp chats, it can visually represent a lighthearted clash, challenge, or one-on-one contest between two specific people, adding personality and specificity to casual conversations.
This emoji is built from the codepoints U+1F468 U+1F3FE U+200D U+1FAEF U+200D U+1F468 U+1F3FF, joining two "man" figures with the wrestling glyph and distinct skin tone selectors. It was introduced in Unicode and Emoji Version 17.0, part of a large expansion of wrestling emoji covering multiple skin tone and gender pairings designed to offer richer, more personalized representation options.
Use this emoji to depict wrestling matches, competitive rivalry, or playful disputes between two people, but avoid it in formal or unrelated contexts where it may feel out of place. Since platform support is still rolling out, verify its appearance before using it in important graphics or messages. You can easily copy and paste this emoji whenever needed from CopyThatEmoji.com.
