The Men Wrestling: Dark Skin Tone, Medium-dark Skin Tone emoji shows two male wrestlers in a grappling pose, each depicted with a different skin tone to represent distinct individuals in a match. This design highlights the physical intensity and competitiveness of wrestling as a sport, showing two athletes engaged in active combat. The dark and medium-dark tone combination allows for more nuanced and realistic representation of paired wrestlers in digital conversations.
As a new emoji introduced in Unicode 17.0, it is confirmed for Apple devices with iOS 26.4 and macOS 26.4, though Google, Microsoft, and Samsung have not yet confirmed their rendering plans. Once other platforms catch up, differences in character posture, clothing style, and shading are likely, much like other newly released multi-person emoji sequences.
Once support becomes widespread, expect to see this emoji used on Twitter/X, Instagram, TikTok, WhatsApp, and Discord in posts about wrestling tournaments, gym culture, and competitive sports banter. It's well-suited for tagging training partners, celebrating match wins, or adding a playful competitive edge to conversations, with its two-tone design offering more accurate representation for specific pairs of people.
This emoji's Unicode structure is U+1F468 U+1F3FF U+200D U+1FAEF U+200D U+1F468 U+1F3FE, combining the wrestling gesture with two distinct skin tone modifiers through zero-width joiners. It falls under the broader wrestling emoji series alongside other skin tone pairings, and is closely related to combat sport emojis, distinguished by its dual-tone representation of two different wrestlers.
This emoji fits best in sports, fitness, or representation-focused messaging, and should be avoided in contexts unrelated to athletics where its combative visual might be misinterpreted. As adoption increases across devices, users can easily copy and paste this emoji from CopyThatEmoji.com for use in any digital conversation.
