The Men Wrestling: Dark Skin Tone, Light Skin Tone emoji shows two male figures locked in a grappling hold, depicting the sport of wrestling with a combination of contrasting skin tones applied to each wrestler individually. This design captures the physicality and competitive spirit of combat sports, showing athletes engaged in a match rather than a casual embrace. The pairing of dark and light skin tones allows for more accurate and personalized representation when depicting two different individuals in a wrestling scenario.
As a brand new addition under Unicode 17.0, this emoji's appearance across platforms is still being finalized, with Apple confirmed to support it starting in iOS 26.4 and macOS 26.4. Google, Microsoft, and Samsung have yet to announce their specific rendering styles or release timelines, meaning the visual details like clothing, background, and figure positioning may vary once each platform rolls out its own version.
Once widely supported, this emoji is expected to find use across Twitter/X, Instagram, TikTok, WhatsApp, and Discord for posts about wrestling matches, sports commentary, and athletic achievements. It's a natural fit for captioning gym content, fantasy sports leagues, or friendly rivalries, and its multi-skin-tone combination makes it especially useful for accurately representing specific people or diverse sports communities in conversations and social posts.
Encoded as a ZWJ sequence combining U+1F468 U+1F3FF U+200D U+1FAEF U+200D U+1F468 U+1F3FB, this emoji merges the base wrestling gesture with two distinct skin tone modifiers to create a fully unique character. It belongs to the broader family of wrestling emoji variants and relates closely to other combat and sports emojis, but stands apart by allowing two different skin tones within a single symbol, unlike single-tone emojis that apply one modifier uniformly.
This emoji works best in contexts involving sports, athletic competition, or accurate representation of two different people wrestling, and should be avoided in unrelated or overly serious discussions where its playful combat imagery might feel out of place. Once support expands across devices, users will be able to easily copy and paste this emoji directly from CopyThatEmoji.com for use in any app or platform.
